Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to everyone who came to watch our recorder performance. The children were fantastic, and we are so proud of the confidence and musical skills they showed. We really appreciate all of your support in helping them practise.

A few important reminders for next week:

• Reading books: Please ensure that all school reading books and reading records are returned to school.
• School bags: Children will begin bringing books home next week, so please make sure they bring a suitable bag to school each day.
• School shoes: We completely understand that the recent hot weather has made cooler footwear appealing. However, for safety reasons, children should wear their normal school shoes, rather than sandals, sliders, flip-flops or other open-toed footwear, to help protect their feet during playtimes and throughout the school day.

Sports Day – Friday

Sports Day will go ahead as planned despite the hot weather. We may adapt or shorten some events if needed to ensure the children remain safe and comfortable.

Please remember:

• Children must bring a packed lunch.
• After lunch, children may go home with their parent or carer if you wish.
• Children who are not collected will return to school with staff and be dismissed at the usual end-of-day time.
• Please ensure your child brings a water bottle, wears sun cream, and has a sun hat.

As we head into the final two full weeks of Year 3, we are looking forward to making the most of every moment with the children. It has been a wonderful year of learning, growth and achievement, and we're excited to enjoy these last few weeks together before they begin their next adventure in Year 4.

* Timestable tests- Some parents have asked about the order of timestable test that children will do. Hopefully this will help you study at home:
